Has all the fame gone to her head? I guess we "middle class" are not "up to snuff" anymore. I no longer have much interest in her shows, since they seem geared to the rich only, like the American Millon dollar property shows. We can no longer adapt the suggestions to lower-priced budgets. How sad! I love her design, but cannot afford it.
As mentioned above, her ideas have become stale.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7175518227741521761.post-6002458078721484692011-11-23T00:31:10.896-05:002011-11-23T00:31:10.896-05:00I think Sarah does AMAZING work. I almost wonder if Sarah is trying too hard to make this cookie-cutter home standout, but instead it just seems a little off. I found the master bedroom to look a bit like a Florida condo, and the columns were just so out of place.... the mint green ensuite will look dated in the near future. I question some of the decisions too - the choice to make the living room extra long seems unnecessary when there is also a family room and a basement rec room. The double-long living room seems excessive and will likely be underused. The whole house just seems to be missing that classic, timeless Sarah signature...

One exception - I LOVE the powder room and mudroom. The paint colour and wallpaper are colourful, upbeat and fresh! LOVE them!Mary's Dwellingshttp://marysdwellings.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7175518227741521761.post-3152750175291020072011-11-16T14:33:15.754-05:002011-11-16T14:33:15.754-05:00I have been so disappointed in Sarah's House 4...I have been so disappointed in Sarah's House 4.. It is so bland and BORING. Can the woman pick any colors besides cream or gray or white? I have been a fan of hers for years and it's like she has a decorating formula and fills in the blanks.. Same master headboard shape she has chosen for years, same decorative pillows with buttons, etc, etc. Tommy needs his own show.. He has great ideas, which she just shoots down. Perhaps she has too much on her plate and doesn't take the time to really "design" any more..Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7175518227741521761.post-39485996739350687312011-11-15T20:45:08.123-05:002011-11-15T20:45:08.123-05:00Sarah's house continues to impress...too bad t...Sarah's house continues to impress...too bad this Georgetown home is on one of the slowest Go Train routes in the history of train travel.T Chttp://www.yahoo.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7175518227741521761.post-32881279252710428762011-10-26T11:03:59.727-04:002011-10-26T11:03:59.727-04:00I watched the hallway, powder room/mud room episode...I watched the hallway, powder room/mud room episode last night. I am a huge Sarah and Tommy fan but being threw the new build process myself I found her info very misguiding. You can't pay the difference on an upgrade like she was. a real homeowner has to pay the builders price unless they do it all after. As much as I love her style I wish she would have gone into this as a home owner building thier home not a designer who gets to bargain with the builders.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7175518227741521761.post-78346878477916194642011-10-21T13:42:22.106-04:002011-10-21T13:42:22.106-04:00I have been a Sarah fan since she was a guest on S...I have been a Sarah fan since she was a guest on Savoiur Fair years ago. I too was a little hurt and disappointed at some of her comments on the finishes of the homes she looked at. Everyone has a different budget and I just don't want her to become a design elitest. Still a devoted fan of both Tommy and Sarah but am hoping that future episodes a little less harsh.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7175518227741521761.post-3086698756774384932011-10-19T11:31:46.528-04:002011-10-19T11:31:46.528-04:00I watched the first two episodes last night and wa...I watched the first two episodes last night and was so disappointed at the catty, snobby way Sarah dissed many of the features of the three homes she toured. The ceiling, wood flooring and tile and backyard views of these homes are features in millions of homes of her viewers, and real people are now living in those very homes that she and the real estate agent so cavalierly dismissed (“When was the last time you saw this tile?”). I can’t believe she trashed the laminate flooring (which she didn’t realize wasn’t hardwood until the real-estate agent informed her) in favour of the cheap fake looking gray wood (?) flooring. I want the old Sarah and Tommy back – the days of Design Inc. - where they at least showed a modicum of respect for the clients and their choices.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7175518227741521761.post-37020788453223155522011-06-04T03:45:50.869-04:002011-06-04T03:45:50.869-04:00Hey I love the house!
