Desk Envy

Lately I've been experiencing desk envy, and it's a very serious condition. I blame my situation on Heather Clawson, author of Habitually Chic, since she posted this photo of the desk top in her New York apartment. It's the perfect presenation - so pretty, so neatly organized, and with everything close at hand:


Really all I need is a little corner, but I don't seem to have one to spare. Every square inch of my 630 square foot condominium is appropriately occupied. When I first moved in, I had to make a choice between storage shelving or desk and I chose the former. Still, I can't help wishing I had space for one of these:

    You're too sweet! Could you replace a bedside table with a writing desk? Or maybe you need to move ;-)

    Hi HC,
    I'm rearranging my whole apartment to make a desk fit...I'm determined to carve out a cozy corner where I can sit to "work".
